I established Keepsake Photography in 2002- which means I have had this awesome job for 16 years! I followed a passion that I have had since high school and made it into a career once I had children. Photographs always had a special place in my heart. I wanted to capture everything so I wouldn't forget how I felt at that moment or forget how people I loved looked at that time. Let's face it, we never take photos of a bad time so looking at all the good times in our life is therapeutic!
Everyone has a story and I love to hear my friends and clients' stories! I consider myself to be a "listener". I have a memory for stories about people. I remember all my clients and their stories. I love that people share these stories of their life with me and trust me with them so that I can understand why they want a newborn session or a family session. I absolutely love high school senior sessions and watching parents beam about their high school senior shining in the portrait light! I need to hear and understand these stories so that my clients can trust me to feel at easy and let me photograph them. I also really care about my customers being happy. They have my cell number and can text me anytime. I try to keep to business hours but if it's important about the shoot next day, I could be texting them back at 10 pm.
I run a full service studio. I am the artist but because I want to make the connection with you, my client. I am the one that takes the calls and will consult with you for your session. I show you the images we took and help you choose the best ones for you and for your wall.
When my clients are happy, they will tell a friend. I have wonderful clients who refer me to wonderful friends. I am blessed to be able to work with so many people in the community. I have lived in Highlands Ranch since 1997. I don't see myself living any where else. We love the people here and the sense of community. I have 3 children that are 18, 17 and 13 and loving husband of 20 years! You will meet them at one time or another at my home studio. Sometimes they help me with my lighting on a shoot if I need an extra hand.
It's important to be certified in this profession to separate from all the people picking up a camera and calling themselves a professional. I don't mean to sound rude but most professions have industry standards. Passing the comprehensive test and being part of a national organization like the PPA Professional Photographers of America is a personal accomplishment. I am also working towards my Masters degree which could take several years because it is so difficult to achieve. However, I love learning and improving. Setting new goals for myself is the way I operate- always have.
So that's a little bit about me! Please click on the phone button on the top right and give me a call! I look forward to meeting you!
