I established Keepsake Photography in 2002- which means I have had this awesome job for 17 years! I followed a passion that I have had since high school and made it into a career once I had children. Before that, I was an occupational therapist working at hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. However, photographs always had a special place in my heart. Let's face it, we never take photos of a bad time so looking at all the good times in our life is therapeutic!
People ask me all the time how I became a photographer. Everyone can be a 'photographer' however I wanted to establish myself as a professional. I joined the Professional Photographer's Association and take educational courses every year. I travel twice a year. I go to Imaging USA and Texas School of Photography. I attend the biggest trade show in the country where I can examine the latest professional products and print quality of labs so that I can bring them to my clients. I have earned my CPP or certification of Professional Photographers which is a standardized test that is given around the country. I am very proud of this accomplishment. Currently I am working towards my Masters of Photography. My recent image, "Guilded" was chosen for the prestigious Loan Book. I am also on the board for the Professional Photographers of Colorado helping photographers continue their education.
